Easy control and intelligent driving: the leader of mine unmanned driving

It takes more than 240 kilometers to drive from Urumqi airport to an open-pit coal mine in Changji Zhundong Economic Development Zone. Out of Urumqi, the farther north you drive, the more obvious the sense of desolation becomes. Near the destination, rows of high-voltage wire networks are reflected into the windows, and rows of trucks are neatly waiting in the parking lot.

Xinjiang is the provincial administrative region with the largest land area in China. Under a large area of desert, it is an extremely rich coal sea. Some of the coal transported from here will be transported to other places with trucks and trains, and some will be converted into electricity in nearby power plants and then transported to thousands of households. If you look down from the perspective of aerial photography, there is an unreal industrial beauty here. A mine with overlapping operations is like a big sand table. Among them, there are several small worlds, and nearly 50 unmanned mine cards are busy here.

The normal operation of unmanned multi-vehicle will add another 100 vehicles to the mining area.

The earliest unmanned test of Easy Control Intelligent Driving was carried out in a small coal mine in Erdos, Inner Mongolia. At the initial stage, there were only 3 or 4 cars, mainly for testing and polishing bicycle operation, so that the unmanned driving system could realize the operation of "mining, transporting and arranging". In 2020, when I came to the mining area to start the operation test, the team initially explored some basic rules, but at that time it was mainly based on single grouping operation.

In the second stage, it entered Zhundong Open-pit Coal Mine of National Energy Group and Tianchi Energy South Open-pit Coal Mine of TBEA, Xinjiang, and began to operate, and successively expanded the operating fleet to double-marshalling and four-marshalling, and then to six-marshalling at this stage. After multiple groups, site management intervention is needed, and the operation of excavators is considered. This means that the original operation logic based on single group development needs to be iteratively developed and a balanced scheduling strategy is made. Mine unmanned driving is transformed into data by collecting field operation experience, and then drives the algorithm to be iteratively upgraded, and these engineering data will be solidified by forming operation standards over time.

In the next stage, Yikong Zhijia will put another 100 unmanned mining cards into the South Open-pit Coal Mine, which will be the first in the world to carry out commercial batch application of more than 100 unmanned mining cards in a single mine. Moreover, in the actual operation process, the change speed of the working flat and dump is accelerated, and at the same time, the normal unmanned continuous operation is realized in the outer dump with higher technical requirements, and the mine also entrusts the inner dump which is more closely integrated with production to the easy-controlled intelligent driver for construction. The development of internal dump means that the unmanned transportation capacity has been further recognized. In this process, traditional mining, unmanned technology and vehicle technology have been deeply integrated.

Go deep into the first-line scene of the mining area, and "improve quality and increase efficiency" and "save energy and reduce emissions" simultaneously.

In order to speed up the application layout of artificial intelligence technology in smart mining scene, represented by automatic driving talents, vehicle engineering talents and mine technical experts, employees who are easy to control and drive are gathered together, actively opening each other’s knowledge systems, colliding and merging with each other, and polishing a set of operational services and technical solutions exclusively for mine unmanned driving. The standardization and process of mine operation requirements will also penetrate into all aspects of daily work. As big as attending the morning shift meeting and the evening shift meeting every day, as small as which side the vehicle is parked and the direction of the front of the car have clear requirements.

Easy-controlled intelligent driving is also paying attention to improving quality and efficiency in actual operation. In order to ensure the optimal efficiency and cost of vehicles under safe conditions, the efficiency will be improved through various dispatching modes, global balanced vehicle allocation and more detailed handling of cooperative work between equipment, so as to maximize the operating efficiency of road network. In terms of specific working hours per day, unmanned driving can achieve 20-21 hours, which is about 2 hours higher than the average operating time of traditional manned driving.

In terms of energy saving and emission reduction, Easy Control Intelligent Driving is really meeting the requirements of improving efficiency and expanding production capacity in mining areas with green intelligent technology. For example, 40 unmanned pure electric mining vehicles have been laid out in the aggregate mine of Bailifu Mountain in Honghe, Shandong Province, and 20 vehicles in the first phase have been operated under normal conditions. With the full coverage of 5G signals and photovoltaic solar power generation, we will work with partners to build the first digital, intelligent and unmanned zero-carbon mine in China. According to the introduction of Yikong Zhijia, the use of pure electric vehicles can greatly reduce the emission pollution caused by the use of diesel-powered vehicles and make the mining industry in the mining area a real "low-carbon species" when the heavy-duty downhill scenes such as gravel aggregate open pit mines are used as the main means of transportation.

Practice the concept of green development and create social value with the power of science and technology

On November 5th, 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Natural Resources jointly issued the 14th Five-Year Plan for Promoting High-quality Development in Resource-based Areas, which pointed out: "Vigorously promote the construction of green mines" and "support the low-carbon, green and intelligent technological transformation and upgrading of resource-based enterprises, and do a good job in carbon neutrality in peak carbon dioxide emissions in an overall and orderly manner".

While constantly improving its intelligent transportation capacity, Yikong Zhijia is also actively practicing the concept of green development in mines, such as: building intelligent energy-replenishing facilities in mining areas to dynamically control the energy-replenishing business of new energy mine cards; Applying photovoltaic green electricity to realize the application scenario of new energy mine with zero carbon supplement; The self-defined 100-ton new energy unmanned mine card has various energy types such as extended range, pure electricity, fuel cell, etc., and meets various forms of energy replenishment such as charging, power exchange and hydrogenation; Through the drive-by-wire chassis control strategy and unmanned control algorithm, the energy consumption under standard working conditions can be reduced, and the highest fuel saving rate can reach 30%.
